Sudden Fever made Johannes Thingnes Boe to skip Pokljuka races

In an unfortunate event Norwegian superstar Johannes is under weather and has Fever which  forced Thingnes to withdraw from his final races in the ongoing event in Pokljuka.

This sudden confirmation came in on Friday morning,  the national team management thought about it thus Boe decided to skip the remaining championship this week.

They stated that “It is true that Johannes has chosen to travel home. It is more important for him to recover so that he can take part in the events in Holmenkollen next weekend,” explains national team manager Per Arne Botnan.

Johannes Thingnes Boe is positive to regain full health in no time to be able to perform good in final World Cup races of his great career. These events will be taking place from in this year 2025 March 21-23 in the location of Holmenkollen.

“In hindsight, I shouldn’t have competed in the individual race yesterday. Racing while sick is not a good long-term strategy. I am sitting out in hopes of being 100% fit for my very last races in Holmenkollen in a week,” says Johannes.

Johannes Thingnes Boe – final decision

So one this clear that, Johannes Thingnes Boe will not participate in the mass start or relay. After the  last race, he is maintaining his second place overall in the World Cup standings, with great 39 points behind his very own teammate Sturla Holm Laegreid.
