Fak won his ninth World Cup victory with perfect shooting in addition to solid skiing. He made every single one of his 20 shots, a feat made all the more impressive given the tough weather conditions. That helped him hold off Sturla Holm Laegreid (Norway) and Martin Ponsiluoma (Sweden), who were faster on skis but faded with missed shots.
Other performers…
Meanwhile, Johannes Thingnes Böe, a giant in the biathlon and five-medal winner at these World Championships in Lenzerheide, came in for 10th place. Although he shot well (only 1 miss), he finished 1 minute and 52 seconds back of first overall. As a result, he fell from top of the overall World Cup standings to his Norwegian teammate Laegreid.

Hard day for some one.
It was a hard day for the Swiss team. Their best athlete, Niklas Hartweg, came 30th (the only one shooting decently with 2 misses) The rest, Josha Burkhalter (50th, 6 misses), Sebastian Stalder (89th, 5 misses) and Arnaud Du Pasquier (90th, 9 misses), had little success and finished in the lower reaches of the standings.
